EuropaTrad becomes Orkera_: what’s changed and what hasn’t
On 29 September 2026, EuropaTrad became Orkera_. The company, the team and your contacts stay the same. We’re changing our name because we’ve expanded our business: our clients are no longer just asking us to translate their content – they are now asking us to manage their international communications.
Why change name?
We have been translating technical, financial, marketing and legal content for businesses since 2002. For 20 years, the requests we received were simple: translate these documents into these languages by this date.
But AI has now changed the game. Translating a page now takes just a few seconds and content can be generated in ten languages in the twinkling of an eye. This is good news for companies, which can communicate more extensively, more quickly and in more markets.
However, there is a downside, which we are seeing among our clients. Volumes are increasing and each tool comes with its own AI. Terminology differs from one content item to another. Quality is slipping away unnoticed, and the day may come when a poorly translated technical manual, financial report or advertising campaign causes real problems in a market.
The faster we go, the more we need a robust captain at the helm. And this is the role we now play for our clients. The name “EuropaTrad” was rooted in the concept of translation, leaving no hint of the wider vocation we are now embracing.
A broader range of services
Translation is still the nerve centre of our business. Around this core, we have built four areas of expertise that our clients are already tapping into.
Preliminary advice. Before translating, we analyse your content, your tools and your workflows. For each type of content, we recommend the right level of intervention (pure AI, AI verified by a linguist or expert translation) and appropriate production, translation and verification workflows. A legal contract and a product data sheet don’t require the same treatment. We also help you organise the workstream by deciding who produces, who approves and which tools are used.
Verified AI Translation. A growing number of companies are producing the translation themselves using AI and then asking us to brush up the result before publication. We take an AI-generated translation provided by our agency or your company, using your tools as much as possible, and have it verified by linguists specialising in the relevant field.
The Orkera platform. The Orkera platform consists of a client portal for ordering and tracking your projects, an AI translation portal configured for your company in accordance with your terminology and approval procedures, and connectors to your systems (website, CMS, PIM). Your people continue to translate routine content on their own. Meanwhile, sensitive content is put through a human review process defined in consultation with you.
As such, consistency is ensured across the entire company. Your technical, financial, marketing and legal departments produce very different types of content. Because we are familiar with the work of these departments, we handle their content together: terminology and quality standards remain consistent across the board, instead of separate solutions being applied to each department.
Why “Orkera_”?
The name is derived from the word “orchestration”. A conductor doesn’t play each instrument instead of the musicians: he or she gets them to play together. And that’s what we do. AI, your tools, our linguists, our engineers and our project managers all work together on your content. Our job is to empower you to speak with a single, accurate and consistent voice in all your markets.

Our tagline, Your content. All languages. All formats.stays in English, the common language used by our clients in all their markets. The tagline says it all: all your content in over 60 languages, from documents to websites, from videos to software interfaces.
Orkera Finance & Legal: continuity of expertise
In 2024, we were joined by the Over The Word team, bringing their expertise in financial and legal translation. Their agency served a large base of long-standing clients requiring translations where a single ill-chosen word could have serious consequences.
I can reassure these clients that nothing will change in the handling of their projects. Our financial and legal experts will continue to apply the same high standards of rigour and precision to their documents.
This expertise now has a name: Orkera Finance & Legal. This expertise covers financial reporting, annual reports, regulatory documents, contracts and sworn translations. We also use the tools provided by the Orkera platform, without compromising on the rigour required by this type of content.
Orkera Interpretation: teams of interpreters all across Europe
Not all communication uses the written word. For your meetings, conferences, site visits or negotiations, interpreting – whether human or AI-assisted – provides the right solution.
Orkera Interpretation assembles teams of interpreters carefully selected in accordance with your needs, industry and languages and able to work anywhere in Europe, whether in person or remotely. We organise each assignment from A to Z, selecting the interpreters, preparing the assignment and providing the appropriate audiovisual technical services.

What hasn’t changed
- The company. Orkera is the new brand of EuropaTrad SAS, which will continue to operate under the same corporate name and SIRET business registration number. Your contracts and our general terms and conditions, invoicing procedures and listings in your procurement systems remain valid with no action required on your part.
- Team and contacts. You will continue to work with the same project managers and linguists.
- Quality. We have been ISO 9001-certified since 2006 and our processes have not changed.
- Client portal. You can continue to access the client portal at the same address, clients.europatrad.eu, using your usual login details.
What’s changed
- We have a new website, orkera.eu. The old europatrad.eu addresses will automatically redirect to the corresponding pages of the new website.
- Our email addresses are changing to @orkera.eu. The @europatrad.eu addresses will remain active: your messages will reach us regardless of which address you send them to.
